The Books of Galatians & Ephesians

Galatians and Ephesians bring great teachings of Paul concerning the walk of faith for believers. Galatians deals with legalism versus salvation by grace through faith, with the Gospel enabling us to receive the righteousness the law demands. Ephesians reveals and unfolds the mystery of God, the Gospel, and His church. Both books reveal the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives to bring direction and enabling power to our Christian walk.

The Book of Isaiah

Among Bible books, Isaiah stands out and is favored by many, and for good reasons. It bears abundant testimony to the coming Christ. It is the longest book of major prophecy by number of chapters (but not by length). Beyond that, however, it contains treasures not so obvious or familiar. Its length, details, and complexities can be daunting and put one off from studying or even reading it. That need not be the case at all. Join us in this course to be guided on an enjoyable journey through this Christ-centered study of a most rewarding and precious book!

Jesus Christ in all the Scriptures Part B
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is all about Jesus Christ. In this course we will examine principles of interpretation, prophecies, types, shadows, Christophanies, symbols, themes, and more. We will look at the Old Testament book by book from 1 Samuel to Malachi, then come at matters topically. After that we will examine how the New Testament looks at the Old Testament. This course is the second half of a two-semester course on Christ-centered Bible Study. Pre-requisite: Jesus Christ in All the Scriptures 409-A

Growing Churches

Why do some congregations grow and othes don’t? What are the different kinds of growth? In I Corinthians 3:6, Paul says that he planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. Humans can play a part in the process, but God actually causes the growth. What do we do that helps or hinders growth? This course is not just for ministers or pastor. Elders, deacons, Bible school superintendents, and others in church leadership would greatly benefit as well. In fact, every member of the body needs to understand that how they contribute to the growth of the body or not affects the whole body. In this short, quick seminar you can gain vital information about how a healthy church body grows.

Bible Basics

This course requires no prior knowledge of the Bible. We will start with basic issues, such as the different kinds of Bibles and how to pick out a Bible. Moving from an overview of the whole Bible to its smaller sections, the goal is to help each student be more confident, knowledgeable, and comfortable anywhere in Scripture. In addition to general Bible content, we will also look at various Bible study resources. The instructor will try to answer any questions that students might have about the Bible and how to study it.
