A solid foundation and your calling in Christ

Don’t you just love Christmas and your birthday?  No matter what time of the year it is presents are always nice.  Getting a surprise gift can be particularly nice.  I truly enjoy working with my brothers and sisters in Christ to discover their calling in Christ.  From Romans 12:6, we read, “However, since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them properly…”  I love the word since.  It means that you already possess something, as in, “Since you have a ticket, you can board the plane or enter the concert.”  It stands in contrast to the word “if”.  It means ‘maybe you do and maybe you don’t’.

It’s not like that with the gifts God had given you.  Some of us have a musical gift while some work better with our hands.  Though we are all different in some way, we each have a unique gift from God.  One of our purposes here at TCCTC is to provide you with a solid foundation in Scripture so that you can embark on your vocational journey grounded in Christ.

New Interdisciplinary Studies Degree

I’m excited to share with you our new Interdisciplinary Studies degree.  Have you taken college classes, but have not earned your Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree?  By taking 30 TCCTC credits, we are happy to look over your past studies (called a transcript evaluation) and work with you to help you complete your degree.  Sometimes what you start studying in college is not what you ultimately wind up in.  It happens all the time.  Some people start a degree but don’t finish it for a number of reasons.  This is the kind of person that we want to help.

No matter whether you are in business, education, health care, or whatever God has called you to do, we all need a foundation that is built in Christ.  The Apostle Paul had a skill in making tents (Acts 18:3).  He used that skill to provide for himself until he established a number of small but growing churches.  As a missionary overseas, I served as an English teacher as a means of getting into China, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia.  Now that I’m here in Tallahassee, I see the United States as my mission field, I truly take joy in helping others to find their calling in Christ and grow in their career.  Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you’d like to know more about completing your degree with us.

Please know that God loves you, wants you to grow in your faith, and has something incredible in store for you.  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  (Jeremiah 29:11)
